Opposition leader Vinod Tawde, who is from the Bharatiya Janata Party, has said that his party supports reservation for Marathas. He said so in the Vidhan Parishad.
Tawde criticised the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for having a duplicitous position on reservation for Marathas, saying it is only reminded of the issue when the elections close in.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar has said that he is in favour of reservation for the economically disadvantaged from all communities.
