Sanjay Gupta’s underworld crime thriller Shootout At Wadala has opened to positive response at the box office and John Abraham is absolutely thrilled
Actor John Abraham is overjoyed with the kind of response he has received for Shootout at Wadala and wishes to work with Snaju Gupta again. The duo will team up again for an action-packed movie, which will be totally new for the Indian screens – so they say.
After the success of Shootout At Wadala, director Sanjay Gupta will work with John Abraham again in an action-revenge saga, which he says will be totally new for the Indian screens. “We are getting ready for that and it’ll be a big action-revenge saga, something never seen on Indian platform before. Hopefully, we will surpass Manya Surve,” he added. “We have already found one script, but this is not the best time to announce. Yes, we will take the Shootout at Wadala franchise forward, but before that John and I will be doing another film,” said Gupta.
John further adds that after his production venture Vicky Donor, for the first time he has got so many messages for his performance as an actor. “It’s big relief for me and at the same time, like I say, there is no good or bad actor and there is no good or bad director,” the 41-year-old added.
Shootout At Wadala got a positive response from both critics and viewers and has managed to earn about Rs 30.7 crore in the opening weekend itself. “Sanjay Gupta is the best director for me. He is amazing. He is outstanding. He gave me my life and he re-introduced me as Manya Surve. I am very, very indebted to him,” John said at his residence where he gifted Gupta his favourite bike, a Yamaha V Max as a gesture of gratitude. “This I have done only for Sanjay because we share a special relationship. We have been in touch since the time of Zinda. I would surely not do this for anyone else. I would love to gift him another bike, hopefully, if we have another hit,” John said.
