Have Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor broken up?

Has the Ranbir-Katrina relationship gone kaput? Considering recent events, it sure looks like the Barfi! lad has a new ‘ex’ file on his shelf…

First the buzz about the Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif fight at Arjun Kapoor’s birthday bash got the rumour mills working overtime. Then came news of the grand holiday plans that RK Jr had all planned for his ladylove. And just when we thought all was well in the lovers’ paradise, reports of Ranbir getting rather too cozy with his ex Deepika Padukone at the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani success party made headlines.

Katrina has been under the weather of late but has her calendar packed with work, work and more work, so apparently couldn’t accommodate this special holiday with her rumoured beau. The lady was fully occupied the with Dhoom: 3 shoot and then took off for the shoot of Bang Bang in Prague. While Katrina gave IIFA a miss, Ranbir was not at the awards either! However, with Hrithik’s recent brain surgery, the makers of Bang Bang have delayed the shoot, leaving Kat with a lot of time, more than enough for the impending holiday.

But the star seems to be miffed. Whether it is because RK and Deepika will be coming together for Imtiaz Ali’s next – for which Kat was supposed to be on the maybe list – or whether it is the story that Ranbir’s recommendation got Dippy the role, we wonder. Of course, it could be the fact that Deepika touchingly said that she missed RK when she made an acceptance speech at IIFA after collecting her Star Plus Audience Jodi of the Year award for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani that riled apni Katrina…who knows!

Does this mean the end of Ranbir-Kat chapter and a new beginning to the once hot and happening Ranbir-Deepika relationship? Well, our guess is as good as yours….

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone to do Imtiaz Ali’s next

Cashing in on the super success of their latest romcom – Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the Rockstar director has signed B-town’s hottest ex-couple in his next love story

Looks like Imtiaz Ali was waiting for Karan Johar’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to release to see whether the ex-flames – Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone coming together on screen after a long time could execute the same freshness and exuberance. And the movie did just that! One of the primary reasons why the Ayan Mukerji directorial garnered almost Rs 200 crores at the box office is certainly Ranboo-Dippy chemistry.

Now that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has become the biggest hit of this year, almost every B-town filmmaker is eyeing to cast the successful jodi together and cash in on their craze. But the victorious filmmaker to sign the two actors once again in his movie is Imtiaz Ali, who has finalized RK and Dips for his next love story. Speculations were rife that Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt were considered to play the female lead alongside the Barfi! actor, but the success of YJHD helped Dippy inked her name in Ali’s next.

Will this helluva combo – Imtiaz-Ranbir-Deepika score a winning hat trick  at the box office? Only time will tell…

Alia Bhatt-Randeep Hooda starrer Highway adapted from TV show Rishtey

Imtiaz Ali creates a full-fledged film out of a short story aired on Zee’s popular TV series Rishtey

Rockstar filmmaker Imtiaz Ali had directed an episode called Highway for the TV series Rishtey which was aired on Zee TV in the early 2000s. The story was about an affluent girl who gets abducted by a gang leader and their journey thereon. The story of Imtiaz’s next film Highway which releases on December 13 revolves around the same concept, of course with a much more detailed and a dramatic version of it. In fact Imtiaz was so fascinated by the story that he wanted it be his debut film. But seems like fate had some other plans; Ali confesses that he is in a much better frame of mind to do justice to this story now, at this phase of his career. We have great expectations from the talented filmmaker, let’s see if he lives up to our high hopes.

Alia Bhatt ups her cool quotient on Harper’s Bazaar cover!

The Student Of The Year babe looks cute on the cover of the popular fashion glossy. Tell us, do you think Alia can step up the Bollywood ladder to become the most desirable young diva?
Ever since she made her movie debut in Karan Johar’s candyfloss drama Student Of The Year, petite babe Alia Bhatt has been a style icon for many college going girls. She brought in a breath of fresh air with her arrival and her inherent spunk was visible on the big screen. And now here’s the young star moving up the success ladder, starting with the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The cute daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt looks impressive in this picture. The strapless grey Gucci dress with a chunky belt gives Alia the air of a little princess. The leopard-print stilettos add drama. But what we like most about Alia here is her chic hairdo. Drastically different from what she sported as Shanaya in KJO’s SOTY, the stylish bob is adorable.

This year Alia will be seen in 2 States opposite Arjun Kapoor and then in Highway with the dishy Randeep Hooda, being made by Imtiaz Ali. She’s also bagged some really big brands to endorse including Coca-Cola, Maybelline and Garnier. With so many assignments in her kitty, we are sure Alia will only zoom ahead of the Bollywood movie star pack!
